Justice Court

The Justice Court resides over a myriad of matters. Traffic tickets issued by the State Highway Patrol, Adams County Sheriff's Department, Wildlife & Fisheries, Mississippi Department of Transportation and Public Service are resolved in the Justice Court.

The Court also hears matters of civil and felony cases. There is a filing fee for filing a small claim.  The claim cannot exceed $3,500.00. Felony cases are heard in Justice Court as initial appearances and preliminary hearings.

The Judges also perform wedding ceremonies.

The Court now accepts personal checks and credit card payments by phone through N-Court.  The phone number is 1-800-701-8560.
